It was all fun and games at a park in Palm Street when the public attended Mapogo A Mathamaga security company’s picnic day this past weekend.
Mapogo A Mathamaga’s guarding director Johan Cronje says, “The purpose of the event was to bring together members of the community in a fun way.
“What we wanted to do with this event was to give back to the community who have shown support to us and we did just that.
“More than 20 people came out to show their support and we really appreciate it,” says Cronje who adds that in future they will be hosting the picnics on a monthly basis.
The herald spoke to one of the people at the picnic, Heidi Taljaard who says the initiative of picnic days certainly will give them and other families something to look forward to every month.
“We really are happy to be here. It gives us the opportunity to take our children out on a fun day and let our hair down a bit,” says Taljaard.
