Man shot in face and robbed

Victim believed to have survived the ordeal and is in hospital.

The condition of a man shot in the face during an armed robbery on Friday remains unknown.

According to EPR security operations manager Mac van Zyl, “A man was transported to hospital after he was shot in the face during an armed robbery around 3.30pm in Helikon Park.

“We received a panic alarm from one of our clients and responded. When we got to the scene we found that a person had been shot.

“We were informed that three men were involved. Allegedly they were seen robbing the man of an undisclosed amount of money. They fled in their getaway vehicle, a white Toyota Corolla. The victim is however not a client of ours.”
