A woman sustained moderate injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital following an accident on Main Road over the weekend.

Sister of the injured, Yolandi van Staden was at the scene. She says, “My sister, driving a Geely, was travelling on Main Road from the direction of Krugersdorp when she tried to make a turn into Eighth Street.

“The driver of an Audi was travelling on Main Road in the opposite direction when he skipped the traffic light and smashed into her.

“She lost control of her car and landed on the pavement outside the Jam Clothing Store,” says Van Staden.
