A 33-year-old man arrested for speeding in his BMW was released on R500 bail.
He appeared in the Westonaria Magistrates’ Court on Monday after being caught driving at 183 km/h in a 100km/h zone on the N12 outside Westonaria on Sunday.
A source told the herald that the man faces charges of speeding and reckless driving.
According to Busaphi Nxumalo from the Gauteng Traffic Police, “The man told officers who eventually pulled him over that he was rushing to help find his missing son”.
