A 31-year-old man is considered lucky to be alive after he was shot in the lower body during an armed robbery in Mohlakeng.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Appel Ernst, they responded to a shooting incident at approximately 9.20pm.
“We went to the scene and found that the man was shot in his lower body. He explained to us that this had happened when he was robbed at gunpoint on Molapo Street,” Ernst says.
“No further information could be obtained from him as he needed medical attention and was rushed to a local hospital.”
Investigating officer Brenda Thobela from the Randfontein SAPS is looking into the case and anyone with any information with regard to the incident can contact her on 011 278 8100.
