Madiba Day: Rainbow Daycare Centre receive gifts and cash

Various businesses and individuals open their hearts.

During the 2014 Madiba Day campaign, various businesses in and around Randfontein spent their 67 minutes helping the children from Rainbow Daycare Centre.

According to the project manager at this institution, Tatum Solomons, Rainbow Daycare Centre is a daycare for children living with disabilities.

“It is such an honour to be able to be part of the Madiba Day campaign and we thank each and every business that opened their hearts to our non-profitable organisation,” says Solomons.

Solomons further explains that the local accounting company, Scheepers and Laas Accountants, visited the centre first.

“They brought along sweet packet and ear muffs for each child and during the cold winter months this will surely come in handy,” says Solomons.

Woolworths Randfontein also donated an amount of R5 000 to the centre which will be used to repair floors and equipment due to water damage they recently suffered.

“Woolworths Key-Wet also treated the 40 children present to a delicious lunch and lastly Harmony Gold has scheduled to come and paint our facility on 25 July as part of their Madiba Day Celebrations,” Solomons Concludes.
