Madiba Day: 400 + clean up West Rand Complex
Institution spend its 67 minutes to pick up garbage in the area.
To celebrate late Nelson Mandela’s legacy, the West Rand Complex spent their 67 minutes to pick up garbage in the area surrounding their institution.
According to the Administrative Manager at the West Rand Complex, Juanita Posthumus, “The staff and patients at this institution gathered on Madiba Day to clean up the area around the West Rand Complex.”
About 100 staff members and 300 patients took part in this initiative.
“The day was a staggering success. The staff and patients of the West Rand Complex worked very hard and as part of our 67-minute campaign, we managed to collect a lot of litter that was lying around our premises,” says Posthumus.
