RPA’s management workshop postponed due to Mandela Day

"People will be unavailable as they will be doing their bit for Madiba."

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) has postponed its much anticipated interactive business management workshop until further notice.

This was announced recently and according to management, the postponement is due to a number of companies preparing for Mandela Day on 18 July and because several members were away for the Gauteng school holidays.

Initially the meeting was scheduled for 17 July from 8am to 2 pm at the Randfontein Golf Club. The new dates and the times for the meeting will be communicated through the media soon.

According to RPA’s spokesperson Joy Hamman, the purpose of the meeting is to teach local business people how to survive a recession and how a change in one’s attitude can change their businesses.

Another aspect that will be looked at is how to identify customers and their real needs, as well as drawing up a sensible budget. Accounting in a nutshell is also on the agenda.

“We do know that people were looking forward to this workshop; however we do apologise for any inconveniences caused,” Hamman said.

“We will host the workshop sometime in September and we will be communicating the dates in due time,” Hamman continued.

Anyone interested in attending the management workshop can contact Harmann on 011 412 2878/1562 or 082 852 1860. They also send an email to joy@randfonteininfo.co.za.
