Municipality caught doing their jobs

"We have come to realise that our roads need to be fixed."

Randfontein municipal workers recently were spotted fixing potholes on Kenneth Road as well as other parts of Randfontein.

According to the municipality’s head of communications Phillip Montshiwa, “This forms part of our programme of restoring the condition of the roads that have dilapidated throughout town.

“Despite residents being up in arms over the condition of our roads, we have come to realise that our roads need to be fixed from time to time and we are doing just that,” Montshiwa continues.

“With the help of residents we have managed to identify some of the roads that had to be repaired and dispatched people to those areas to do this.

“The municipality is working towards fixing more potholes in Randfontein. Municipal workers are also renewing road markings on the Main Road to ensure that they are visible to all road users,” Montshiwa added,
