Man seriously injured in head-on collision

A man sustained serious injuries and had to be transported to a nearby hospital following a head-on collision earlier today.

It seems the man (driving a Polo) was travelling along Palm Avenue about to pull into his driveway when he collided into oncoming traffic (a bakkie).

It currently remains unclear as to who was at fault yet paramedics believe one of the drivers must have been travelling at high speed prior to the collision.

The driver and the passenger of the bakkie did not sustain any major injuries.
