An 11-year old girl was injured following a two vehicle collision today.
“It seems the driver of a Ford Fiesta was travelling down Lazaar Avenue and turned onto Horingbek Street when the driver of a BMW – travelling towards Randgate on Lazaar Avenue – collided into the passenger side of the other vehicle,” traffic official, Jacques du Plessis said.
“It is unclear whether the driver of the BMW skipped the traffic light or not but both occupants of the vehicle escaped with no injuries while the driver of the Ford Fiesta also seemed fine.
“However, the 11-year old girl, who was seated in the passenger side of the Ford Fiesta, sustained injuries, but was stabilised by Lenmed Emergency personnel on the scene.”
Randfontein Emergency Services then soon arrived to assist and transported the girl to a nearby hospital.
