RPA to host management workshop

Attendants will be taught on how to cope with the modern-day challenges in their own businesses and on how a change in one's attitude can change their business.

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) will be hosing an interactive management workshop on 17 July at the Randfontein Golf Club from 8am to 2pm.

According to RPA’s publicity officer Joy Hamann, the event is open to all business people and those who aspire to start up their own businesses. .

“One of our aims as the RPA is to build a strong West Rand business community and we try to do this by offering our members monthly networking functions, online advertising and promotions among other things.

“The reason for this is that we are interested in the welfare of local businesses and want to help people sustain and grow their businesses.

“In line with this, the management workshop is aimed at helping them cope with the modern-day challenges of running a business,” says Hamann,

She adds that those who will be present at the workshop will be taught how to survive a recession and how a change in one’s attitude can change their businesses.

Another aspect that will be looked at is how to identify customers and their real needs as well as drawing up a sensible budget and accounting in a nutshell.

According to her, Jan Coetzee from Makarios Training and Development will be doing a presentation at the event and will discuss issues around project and general management, international negotiations and productivity as well as quality improvement
