ANC chief whip Jeje Legoete denied that he mistreats his three children despite having appeared in court yesterday.
Legoete allegedly is caught up in a child maintenance brawl and appeared in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court yesterday (26 June). According to a reliable source known to the herald, Legoete has been failing to pay child maintenance for three of his children for some time now.
“I can confirm that he has not been supporting his children for some time. The mother of his children was not having it anymore and decided to drag him to court,” according to the source who wishes to remain anonymous.
The person added that Legoete is driving a fancy car and dresses well.
Legoete responded to the allegations against him.
“This is rubbish. I am not aware of any child maintenance battles going on and I am certainly maintaining my children. I have not been in court for this and your source is simply mistaken,” he said.
Meanwhile, a court official also confirmed his appearance and said that she would revert back with the outcomes of the case.
