Chiya fraud case still drags on

His identity fraud case has now been postponed for the 7th time pending further investigations. This despite previous reports stating that investigations into the case had already been concluded.

This was on 9 June at the Randfontein Regional Court where his case was postponed to 19 July pending further investigation.

This announcement comes after previous reports indicating that investigations into the case, which saw Chiya arrested during December, have been concluded.

Chiya stands accused of having used a fraudulent ID document to secure credit.

At the time of his arrest, Chiya was reported to have been under sequestration.
