RHS debating team receives tablets

Randfontein High School‘s debate team has been awarded with tablets recently sponsored by the Gauteng Department of Education.

According to a representative from the school Jason Fischer, this was to show appreciation and empower them with the necessary tools to excel in their passion

“Our debating team has done nothing but make us proud throughout the years.

“If anything, they deserve these tablets and we feel that they will use them wisely to hone their debating skills.

“These are the perfect tools with which to conduct research and construct their arguments,” says Fischer.

Randfontein High has proven that their debate teams are among the best in the country, taking part in various competitions and more often than not, taking the win.He adds that the team of 23 was thrilled when they received their gadgets and were optimistic that this will help them excel even more.

Meanwhile, Fischer boasts that while most of their beneficiaries are top achievers at the school, four other top achievers with a subject average of 80 per cent were also awarded tablets.

The four is not part of the debating team.
