A shack was burned to the ground recently at the Zenzele informal settlement in what police describe as a possible act of arson
Reports received indicate that the shack belongs to two men who were recently arrested for murder.
“Our members received information that a house was burned down at the settlement and they decided to investigate.
“The only thing that was gathered at the scene was the fact that the house belonged to two males who were earlier arrested for murder
“However, witnesses at the scene could not give any information as to how the fire started,” says Ernst who adds that the police have launched an investigation to the possibility that the burning might have been an act of retribution because of the murder.
