One road fixed, how many to go?

Local motorists could barely believe their eyes when municipal workers descended on Kenneth Road to fix potholes.

Greenhills — Municipal workers descended on Kenneth Road on 22 April to fix potholes that have long been the bane of motorists in the area.

Despite recent reports that the municipality is not using the correct materials with which to fix potholes, most motorists welcomed the repairs.

According to one motorist Steven Chauke, the nightmare of driving on Randfontein roads will soon be a thing of the past.

“I must admit that I am very glad to see that the council is taking our concerns seriously.

“Although the problem is still far from being solved with other areas still needing potholes repaired, what matters the most is that the fact that they are taking notice of our complaints.”

The herald still awaits response from municipal spokesperson Lucky Chiya with regard to what material is being used to repair potholes in Randfontein.
