RPA holds business networking session

The Randfontein Publicity Association recently hosted another successful business networking function.

The Randfontein Publibity Association (RPA) held their monthly business networking session at Randfontein’s newest function venue, Fabulously Farmish on 10 April.

According to publicity Officer Joy Hamann, the RPA networking functions are hosted by different RPA members each month, normally at their company premises.

“This gives the businessman or woman an opportunity to showcase their business,” says Joy.

“What better way to promote one’s business than by word of mouth?”

The owner of Fabulously Farmish, Reinette Herbst, is a former Miss Randfontein Show winner and also runs an event and marketing company.

Reinette wanted to show the members what her business is all about, so she decorated the venue and supplied a delicious three-course meal to give members an idea of what she can offer.

“We had a very good turnout with almost fifty people attending.

“Each member also was given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business to the group and elaborate a little bit about the services and products that they offer.”

According to Joy, the RPA encourages members to make use of one another’s services to help build a strong West Rand business community.

“We currently have members from Magaliesburg, Fochville, Westonaria, Krugersdorp and Randfontein,” says Joy.

Besides for promoting local busines, the RPA is also involved in a number of charitable project, including their annual winter project where they collect blankets, warm clothing, non-perishable foods and other usefull items for the less fortunate people in Randfontein and surrounding areas.
