A 2-year-old girl, her mother and her grandmother have died tragic deaths following a horrific head-on collision on the R559 on the outskirts of Randfontein.
According to information received, they were traveling from Carltonville in the direction of Randfontein when their car collided with another vehicle.
According to ER24 spokesperson Ayanda Majija, it currently remains unclear as to who was at fault or how the incident occurred.
“It is difficult to tell at this point how exactly the incident occurred because our paramedics arrived at the scene after the accident.
“They found the deceased toddler, her mother and grandmother partially ejected from their badly damaged vehicle.
“At this stage, I can confirm that there were six people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The other three people in the vehicle received moderate to serious injuries.
She adds that the other vehicle carried one female passenger who also sustained moderate to serious injuries.
They were all transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
