Chiya’s fraud case postponed – again

This is the sixth time that the case has been postponed.

Randfontein municipal spokesperson Lucky Chiya’s fraud case has once again been postponed.

This despite recent news that police have finalised their investigations.

Despite this, during Chiya’s 6th appearance at the Randfontein Regional Court on 11 April, the case was once again postponed for further investigation.

The case will now resume on 13 May.

Chiya was arrested on 3 December after it came to light that he allegedly had used a fraudulent ID to obtain credit.

Chiya allegedly was under sequestration at the time and has refused to comment on the charges

He has since been out on R5 000 bail.
