A 20-year-old man has been brutally murdered in Mohlakeng.
The man allegedly was walking with a friend through a local veld when a group of men approached them and attacked them at approximately 11.45pm on 29 March.
The men were walking in the direction of Toekomsrus when the incident occurred.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, police were called, but the man had already succumbed to his injuries by the time that they arrived at the scene.
“The man allegedly was stabbed several times for no apparent reason.
“The friend managed to run away,” says Ernst.
She adds that police are currently investigating the case and she urges anyone who might have any information about the incident to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Thabiso Duiker on 011 278 8100.
