Join the West Rand Fun Festival

The West Rand Funfest is slowly but surely nearing and people throughout the West Rand are invited to attend the event to watch a showcase of amazing talent.

The event is set to take place on 5 April from 12pm.

According to organizer Xolani Vilakati, the event will feature amazing talent from models, rappers and singers and numerous artists by the likes of Dj Grizzly, Dj Slender and Dj Unlimited among others.

“The idea of hosting this event came shortly after we realized how many people were affected by the hail storms that rocked the West Rand late last year.

“Owing to this, we decided to do something helpful but fun at the same time that would benefit a local organisation that was greatly affected,” says Vilakati who adds that the money made from the ticket sales will go directly to assisting the organisation.

Winners of the many competions that will take place will also be announced and will receive prizes.

The tickets are selling from R40 for high school pupils and R60 for adults.

Those who wish to be VIP’s on the day will have to pay R100 and those without tickets will have to pay R70 at the gate.

According to Vilakati, they will also be shooting a pre-show about the event at the Randfontein High School on 3 April.

The pre-show will be aired on one of the SABC channels as an advert leading to the event.
