Woman’s house robbed while doing chores

Three suspects entered her house and one of them restrained while the others ransacked the house.

A 55-year-old woman was attacked while doing her chores at her home on Populier Street in Greenhills.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the woman was busy with chores at approximately 9.40am, when a man entered her house.

“He walked up to her and covered her mouth with his hand to prevent her from screaming,” says Ernst.

“Fortunately the suspects were not armed and the woman was not hurt.

“According to eyewitnesses, the suspects could have fled in a grey or black sedan as it was seen leaving the area shortly after the incident,” says Ernst.
