Woman smashes into barrier in Greenhills accident

Paramedics believe the woman suffered a medical episode when she lost control of her car.

A woman is lucky to be alive after she lost control of her vehicle and smashed into a barrier at a bridge on Kenneth Avenue.

The incident occurred on 17 March at approximately 2.25pm.

According to paramedics at the scene, it is currently unclear as to what caused the incident but the woman is suspected to have suffered from a medical condition, which caused her to lose control of the vehicle.

“We suspect that the woman had a medical attack of some sort and subsequently lost control of her car,” says one paramedic.

Upon the Herald’s arrival, the woman was being stabilized at the scene and was expected to be taken to the nearest hospital were she would be treated.
