Career expo a success

More than 200 pupils from the West Rand attended the expo.

The West Rand Chamber of Business and Tourism (WRCBT) together with the Rotary Club of Krugersdorp hosted a successful three-day career expo at the Greenhills Stadium.

The event was for pupils in Grade 10, 11 and 12 and took place from 11 to 13 March.

According to Dirctor of WRCBT Dehlia van Staden, the purpose of the event is to allow pupils from the different schools within the West Rand an opportunity and a platform to gather information on different careers available for them.

“It is becoming increasingly important to make the right choice regarding your career for the future and that is why are having this event.

“We want our pupils to know there are different career paths so they can gather the necessary information and also know what is required of them in order to get at that level.

“The aim of the exhibition is to provide learners together with their educators and parents with as much career information as possible on a wide variety of careers and we are certain that we will reach our objectives.

“So far, we have had such an amazing turn out in attendance and we are confident that our pupils will go back to their schools feeling a lot less confused in their career choices,” says van Staden.
