Tragic accident claims a life
The occupants had already been ejected from the car and were found near the crumpled remains of their vehicle.
One man has died and two others seriously injured after their car rolled in a massive accident on the N14 towards Ventersdorp”.
This was on 23 Febraury at approximately 6am and according to information received, the vehicle was travelling towards Ventersdorop when the driver tried to veer off the road, which subsequently caused the car to roll.
According to Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha, upon the arrival of paramedics at the scene, they found that the occupants of the vehicle had been ejected from the car during the accident and were found near the crumpled remains of their vehicle.
“Paramedics discovered that the driver of the vehicle had already died due to the extensive injuries he sustained.
“Meanwhile, one of the other occupants was in a critical condition while the other one sustained serious injuries,” says Botha.
He adds that a chopper was called to the scene to airlift the critically injured patient to a nearby hospital while the other patient was treated and stabilized on scene.
He was later transported to hospital as well.
