Mohlakeng Spaza shop robbed

Just when the shopkeeper was about to open the shop, the suspects broke down the door to gain entrance into the business premises.

Another local business outlet has been robbed after two men attacked a 30-year-old shopkeeper just when he was about to open his doors for business.

This was on 3 February a 9.45am at a spaza shop in Mohlakeng.

According to a statement from the Randfontein SAPS, just when the shopkeeper was about to open the shop, the suspects suddenly emerged and allegedly broke down the door to gain entrance into the business premises.

They pointed a firearm at the shopkeeper and assaulted him.

The suspects took numerous items from the shop, including an undisclosed amount of cash and airtime vouchers.

They fled from the scene on foot and no shots were fired.

The shopkeeper did not sustain any serious injuries during the ordeal.

Investigating officer into the case Warrant Officer Karen Nel would appreciate any information that would assist in the tracing of the suspects.
