Residents of Borwa settlement to receive houses

At least 150 houses will be built and residents will benefit from this after the completion of the project.

The Westonaria Local Municipality has announced that it is set to construct another 150 houses at the Westonaria Borwa housing development at a cost of R15 million.

This was announced by Westonaria Local Municipality spokesperson Kgabane Madiehe who says that this will happen by April this year and that the project will be funded by the South Deep Mining Company.

“The municipality has patnered with the mining company to empower the people of our region by building them houses.

“While this may be a small drop in the ocean, it will definitely mean something to the beneficiaries of these houses,” says Madiehe.

He says that this is one of the many projects that the Westonaria Local Municipality executive mayor Nonkoliso Tundzi is currently busy with and says that other projects aimed at bettering the lives of the people will soon be underway and will be communicated in the media.
