Enjoy the 28th annual Randfontein show

It is almost time for the 28th annual Randfontein Show and with great line-up of entertainment, exhibitors and food stalls it is surely a family affair not to be missed.

The Randfontein Show celebrates its 28th birthday this year and has become a highlight on the West Rand Calendar.

It is no longer just a show for Randfontein residents, but has evolved into a regional event and the third largest of its kind in the country.

From Wednesday 26 February to Saturday 1 March, visitors and exhibitors from all over the country will flock to the Greenhills Sports Stadium, home of the annual Randfontein Show Food and Music Festival.

This value-for-money event offers over 400 exhibitors, more than 35 food stalls, entertainment from many of SA’s favourite music artists like Bobby van Jaarsveld, Bok van Blerk, Kurt Darren, Gerhard Steyn, Andriette, Bongi, Thys die Bosveldklong, Ampie, Manie Jackson, and Blackie Swart.

An exciting new 4 x 4 track, outdoor expo, archery competition and loads of motor vehicles – new and vintage – will delight the menfolk, while the women can shop ’til they drop.

Children will be spoilt for choice with a variety of adrenalin pumping rides, trampolines, fun-house, face-painting, bungee trampolines, mechanical bull and camel rides.

Other firm favourites include the hotly contested Cheerleading and Pom-Pom competition, strongman demonstrations, wrestling, Harley Davidson rides, wine tent and beer gardens.

New events include a Portuguese stall with traditional food and dancing, a skate park and boerboel show where top breeds will be on display.

Event times and venues as well as visitor information can be viewed on www.randfonteininfo.co.za.
