The teen was found to have a wound on his upper part of the body and was bleeding profusely.

A 19-year-old teenage boy was found badly injured and lying on Mandela Street which is on the border of Mohlakeng and Zenzele in what police believe was attempted murder.

This was on 25 November and upon investigations, the teen was found to have a wound on the upper part of his body and was bleeding profusely.

According to Captain Appel Ernst from Randfontein SAPS, an ambulance was immediately called out for the teen who was treated at the scene.

“Paramedics managed to stabilize him and later rushed him to a nearby hospital where he underwent recovery.

“Police officers conducted further investigations which led to suspicions that the teen could have been stabbed.

“However, possible reason for this are still unknown,” says Ernst.

Anyone who might have witnessed anything is urged to contact Investigating officer into the case Warrant Officer Brian Wylbacht on 011 27-8100.
