Residents to bid farewell to Mandela

He really did make the world a better place and such a person deserves to be honoured.

Following the death of Global icon and father of the nation Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the Mohlakeng Gospel Choir Association is set to have their own memorial service to honour the late hero and urges the general public to attend.

The service will be held at the St Emmanuel Church in Mohlakeng on 12 December and is scheduled to start at 6pm.

According to Naughty Magoai from the association, he together with his associates decided to initiate the event to provide a platform for residents to bid their farewell to the father of the nation.

“Mandela meant a lot to all of us and he is very much the reason why we are able to walk these streets in freedom.

“We just want to honour him and let him know that wherever he is, we shall be forever greatful for all that he has done for this country.

“He really did make the world a better place and such a person deserves to be honoured.
