Gold One, formerly known as Rand Uranium, held a World Aids Day event on 27 November at the company’s premises.
According to Senior Executive Vice President Wayne Robinson, the theme of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle among employees.
“We wanted to have everyone feel at ease on this day and celebrate the day and everything associated with it.
“In line with this, we took to our sports ground and played soccer, volley ball and held other sporting activities just as a healthy excercise.
“A healthy lifestyle is essential in order for one’s body to remain strong and fight whatever diseases it contracts,” says Robinson.
Officials from the Randfontien Local Muncipality and the Westonaria Local Municipality also attended the event to show their support for the intiative.
