Randgate Spar gives back to the community

As part of Randgate Spar's Customer Loyalty Programme, this spar decided to donate to local charities.

As part of Randgate Spar’s Customer Loyalty Programme, they decided to contribute to local charities on a monthly basis.

According to the manager of Randgate Spar, Fatima Leitao, the customer loyalty programme is a programme where the loyal customers of Randgate Spar can register for a loyalty card.

“When our customers register for this card, they have the opportunity to nominate a charity of their choice which will benefit from this programme on a monthly basis,” says Fatima.

She adds that 29 charities and schools have already been nominated to benefit from this programme.

“These charities have already started to receive a monthly contribution towards their cause and will continue to benefit,” says Fatima.

She also explains that an amount in excess of R10 000 per month will be divided between the nominated charities.

“We want to urge our customers to apply for the loyalty programme in store and start to contribute towards this initiative as we can help more charities with every customer who applies for the loyalty programme,” says Fatima.

Randgate Spar invited representatives from every nominated charity to the Spar on 13 November.

It is during this gathering where Fatima explained to the representatives how the loyalty programme works and how they can benefit from it.

The day was a great success and every charity present felt that this is a great initiative and will surely do their part in promoting it.

The current nominated charities include charities such as Friendship Haven, Laerskool Randfontein, Randfontein SPCA, Connie Mulder Centre and Venterspost Primary to name but a few.

“If you as a Spar customer want to nominate another charity, feel free to come in and apply for the programme and nominate your chosen charity and help them to start benefiting from this initiative today,” says Fatima.
