Police in Randfontein are looking for a man in connection with the attempted murder of another man at the Master Plot informal settlement in Wilbotsdal on 2 November.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, police were summoned to the scene and upon arrival, the found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The incident happened at approximately 9.16pm.
The suspect then ran away.
Ernst says that the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but that information in the case is vague as the victim was unable to provide much detail regarding the incident.
“Police officers collected evidence on the scene and registered a case of attempted murder,” says Ernst.
“Anyone with any information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect, is urged to contact the investigating officer, Constable Mzamo Magelane on 011 278 8100.
