A Spaza shop in the Baderile informal settlement in Brandvlei was robbed at approximately 1.30pmon 25 October.
According to the 33-year-old shop owner, four men entered the shop and sprayed a substance over him before overpowering him.
The suspects held the shop owner at gunpoint while taking numerous items, including airtime from the shop before fleeing on foot.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, no shots were fired during the ordeal and the shop owner did not sustain any serious injuries.
