House robbery hell for Peacehaven family

A family in Peacehaven, Finsbury, was held up in their home by armed robbers.

A family in Peacehaven, Randfontein became victims of house robbery on 4 November after they were awoken by noises in their house.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, the 36-year-old man of the house went to investigate the noises and found three men already in the house.

He was confronted by the three men, two of which allegedly had firearms.

The suspects demanded money and other valuables, before fleeing from the scene.

Ernst says that upon investigation, police officers determined that the suspects gained entry to the house by forcing open a door.

None of the victims sustained any injuries.
