Randfontein police have launched a manhunt for five suspects who robbed a local shop in Randgate on 18 October.
It is understood that the suspects in question stormed into the shop and ordered the shopkeeper and customers to lie down on the floor.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ersnt, three of the suspects were armed with firearms and threatened the customers and the shopkeeper.
Meanwhile, the other two suspects bagged an undisclosed amount of money.
“We are currently investigating the matter and have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
“I believe that the long arm of the law will catch up with those responsible,” says Ernst.
