Dead body found on Ralerata Street

The victim was found to have been stabbed with a sharp object.

The dead body of a 40-year-old man was discovered in the middle of Ralerata Street in Mohlakeng on 13 October.

The shocking discovery was made by a pedestrian who was walking home at the time and happened to stumble on the deceased, lying in a pool of blood.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, it is currently unclear as to what led to the murder, but the victim was found to have been stabbed with a sharp object.

Investigations at the scene led to police officers arresting three suspects aged between 22, 25 and 26-years-old in connection the murder.

“They will appear at the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court soon,” says Ersnt.

Investigating officer in the case, Warrant Officer Santie le Roux urgently needs witness that can shed light on the circumstances which led to the murder and can be contacted on 011 278-8100.
