Mayor’s well wishes for matriculants

In line with assisting matriculants further their studies, the Mayor has initiated a Mayoral Bursary fund which pupils in Randfontein can take advantage of.

The Randfontein Local Municipality Executive Mayor Sylvia Thebenare wishes to extend well wishes to the matric class of 2013 for their final exams and says that they are well on their path to success.

Matriculants throughout the country are currently preparing for their exams and are expected to write in just a few days time.

According to Thebenare, matriculants need to take this time and reflect on what they have done throughout the year in order to implement the changes that they want to see in their results.

“We are proud that you have come this far and are certainly sure that you will finish the race that you have started on a high note.

“We appreciate the dedication, discipline and commitment you have shown during the school year.

“Your co-operation with educators, parents and school governing body members to ensure a conducive learning environment does not go unnoticed” says Thebenare

She adds that in line with empowering pupils in Randfontein, the municipality has set aside funds through the Mayoral Bursary which is aimed at assisting them in furthering their studies.

“We urge you to take advantage of this fund and apply every year.

“Good luck and make Randfontein proud,” says Thebenare
