Hospice Charity Shop relocates

Randfontein's Hospice Chatity Shop has now relocated to a bigger and better space and invites the community to come and visit their new and improved shop.

Hospice West Rand recently relocated to a bigger and better space and will now be able to do even more within the community.

The marketing coordinator, Monica Faure, says: “To enable us to do so and extend our services to you we have moved to bigger and better premises at Shop no 5, 80 Main Road, Randfontein”

Monica urges the Randfontein community to contribute towards the success of Hospice West Rand by supporting this institution.

She adds that the main goal of Hospice is to help, support and care for people living with cancer, HIV/ Aids, Motor Neuron Disease and other life threatening illnesses.

“On the West Rand we spend about R200 000 per month to supply medication for our identified patients.

“That is why we opened the doors to our Hospice Charity Shop.

“Our aim is to use the funds generated by this institution to pay for the medication and treatments needed by our patients,” says Monica.

She adds that anyone in the community can donate old clothes, toys and any other articles to the charity shop if they wish to contribute in that way.

With the bigger premises, donors can now donate excess furniture and electrical appliances as well.

Otherwise they can pop in at the shop and buy any of the products that is in the store.

“If someone within the community wants to donate something to the Hospice Charity Shop, they can give us a call and we will pick the donation up if they cannot deliver it to the shop.”

Monica thanks the community for their constant contribution to the shop and urges them to continue the great work they do for Hospice.

She adds that the official opening of the new store will take place on 19 October and the whole community is welcome to come and visit the shop during the official opening.
