ANC youth members allegedly disrupt public meeting

As a concerned resident of the area, I am disgusted by the actions that took place at the public meeting.

Talks into the issue of incorrect billing in Finsbury fell flat after a public meeting was allegedly disrupted by ANC youth members on 4 October.

The meeting was scheduled in order for community leaders to give feedback to residents with regard to a recent meeting with Randfontein Municipal Manager, Mpho Mogale.

According to Cope West Rand Region Organizer Nicodemus Phake, who speaks in his personal capacity, the meeting was sabotaged by Ward 2 Councilor Xolisa Ntsepo, who allegedly allowed the ANC youth members to be disruptive without calling them into order.

“As a concerned resident of the area, I am disgusted by the disruption of the meeting,”says Phake.

“Cllr Ntsepo allowed ANC youth members to disrupt our meeting and disrespect leaders of the opposition as well as the residents of the area.

“I have a strong suspicion that he instigated this from the very beginning.

“It basically amounts to intimidation.”

He claims that Ntsepo failed to reprimand the group and instead condoned their unruly behaviour.

Meanwhile, Ntsepo slams these allegations and says that they are untrue.

“No disruptions happened at that meeting

“I was there and I can assure that it went well.

“I think Phake is just trying to discredit the ANC ahead of the elections,” says Ntsepo.
