The Randfontein Traffic Department together with the female officers from the Randfontein SAPS are set to embark on another massive roadblock on 30 August.
During this time the officers will close in on numerous road rule benders in Randfontein at identified hotspots.
According to Randfontein Traffic Chief Kenny Mampondo this will mark the officer’s last sting operation of Women’s Month.
“Our female officers have had four successful roadblocks this month and we are looking forward to the last one.
“We want to send out a message to road rule benders that female officers are capable of enforcing by-laws by themselves.
“We as the Traffic Department have seen this with the impressive results and that is all the proof we need,” says Mampondo.
Motorists are urged to prepare themselves to be stopped and their vehicles searched on that day.
