Two men robbed a Mohlakeng man at gunpoint after ramming into his car.

Two men robbed a Mohlakeng man at gunpoint near Phokompe Street in Mohlakeng on 27 July.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the 44-year-old man was driving toward Phokompe Street when another car, a white Volkswage Sedan, crashed into him.

The victim was unable to see the registration number of the vehicle.

The sedan’s two occupants approached the victim and the man noticed that one of them was armed with a firearm.

The men held him at gunpoint while searching his vehicle, taking an undiosclosed amount of cash.

“No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained during this incident,” says Ernst.

“The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Michael Chuene can be contacted on 011 278 8100 with any information that might assist in the investigation of this incident.”
