Body found on Culemborg Park street corner

The body of an approximately 26-year-old man was found on the corners of Tambotie and Homestead Avenue.

The body of a man was found lying on the corners of Tambotie and Homestead Avenue in Culemborg Park on 22 July.

The body was discovered at approximately 2.20am.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the man was apparently 26-years-old and was wearing jeans.

He was barefoot and not wearing a shirt.

There were various stab wounds in his upper body and neck.

“At this stage the reason for the attack and the exact place where the attack occurred is unknown,” says Ernst.

“The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Karen Nel is urgently requesting assistance from Randfontein residents to help her identify the victim. The deceased could not be identified as he had no form of identification with him.

“Any person who might assist in identifying the victim or shed some light on the incident, is urged to contact her on 011 278 8100.”
