The Herald has been flooded with phone calls from residents complaining about motorcycles and cars racing on the streets of Randgate, disturbing the peace and causing headaches for the residents of the area.
According to the resident who does not wish to be named, bikers have taken over the streets of Randgate, especially Buiten Street.
“We have a massive problem with regard to bikers racing on our streets and this seems to be happening frequently on Sundays.
“The only thing we hear when in church is the engines that roar at full capacity.
“Sundays really are a nightmare for us with all these bikers and to our despair, the supercharged fast cars now have joined in on the racing,” says the resident.
“These bikers ignore all road signs.
“At this point I feel that the Traffic Department needs to intervene and put a halt to this because it is really getting out of hand,” says the resident.
