Hospice Charity Randfontein gives shop a facelift

Hospice West rand invites the community to came and support their cause by donating goods to their charity shop.

Hospice West Rand recently gave their local charity shop a facelift after opening during October 2012.
The management of the shop urges the Randfontein community to contribute towards the success of Hospice West Rand by supporting this institution.

According to the marketing coordinator for Hospice West Rand, Monica Faure, the main goal of Hospice is to help, support and care for people living with cancer, HIV/ Aids, Motor Neuron Disease and other life threatening illnesses.

“On the West Rand we spend about R200 000 per month to supply medication for our identified patients.

“That is why we opened the doors to our Hospice Charity Shop.

“Our aim is to use the funds generated by this institution to pay for the medication and treatments needed by our patients,” says Monica.

She adds that anyone in the community can donate old clothes, toys and any other articles to the charity shop if they wish to contribute in that way.

Otherwise they can pop in at the shop and buy any of the products that is in the store.

“Our shop is situated in Eighth Street, right next to Martins Funeral Services,” says Monica.

“If someone within the community wants to donate something to the Hospice Charity Shop, they can give us a call and we will pick the donation up if they cannot deliver it to the shop.”

Monica thanks the community for their constant contribution to the shop and urges them to continue the great work they do for Hospice.
