A man and his female friend were hijacked on 14 July in Mohlakeng.
The man was helping his father to get his car started and went back to his vehicle afterward.
While sitting in the car with his female friend, they were approached by three men.
One of the men produced a firearm and pointed t at the man.
Another suspect approached the woman and pointed a firearm at her.
The couple were forced out of their vehicle and the suspects sped off in it.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the vehicle was later recovered in the Doornkop area.
No suspects have been arrested yet.
No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained during the incident.
