A 20-year old man was arrested for raping his 18-year old step-sister in her bedroom on 15 June.
The young man apparently entered the bedroom of the sleeping girl several times during the night, and eventually overpowered her and raped her.
The suspect then left the room and the victim informed her family members about the incident.
“The victim was taken for medical treatment and a case was reported at the Randfontein Police station,” says RandfonteinSAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst.
“The man was arrested later on the same day and his first appearance in the Randfontein Magistrates court was on 18 June.”
