Notorious paedophile out on parole

The Herald has received news that the notorious self-confessed paedophile, Thys Taljaard, might be out on bail.

Taljaard was convicted of over 700 counts of the production and distribution of child pornography in 2011.

He was arrested in 2010 while out on bail on another, similar case, when he lured a young girl to his house with sinister intentions.

Prior to his eventual conviction, while out on bail, he was caught at least once for being in breach of his bail conditions for having children in his house and the Herald received reports at the time that he was even seen cavorting with children in his swimming pool.

The Herald‘s attempts to get official confirmation of whether or not Taljaard is out on bail has, thus far been unsuccessful as our enquiries are being diverted from department to department.
