Two security guards who were on duty at a factory in Brandvlei were overpowered by six armed suspects on 2 June.
The incident occurred at approximately 2.30am.
The armed men allegedly bound the victim’s hands and legs after which they were left in an office while the suspects went into the factory.
The suspects spent some time in the building and used an explosive device to gain access to a safe in the factory before fleeing from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
None of the guards sustained any serious injuries during the incident and no shots were fired.
